What the #*@! is that printer doing in the dock?

leave a comment »

I don’t print much, but I’ve found recently that when I print, the printer stays in my dock after the print job is done. Dum dee doh dee dum dum dumb. This is apparently a new feature of Leopard. For Pete’s sake, who’s brainy idea was this? “Let’s clutter the dock with more stuff people don’t need and use up more memory at the same time!”

Well, to fix the problem, right click on the printer icon and select “Auto Quit”. This was the default setting in Tiger and before so I don’t know what someone was thinking with this new direction. Share and enjoy!

See? I can get mad at Apple too!
